The old
and new powder magazines. As the quarry expanded the original building
was
replaced
by a new structure. This is seen in the photo below with Snowdon
forming a backdrop. Magazines were always situated well away from
the working areas of a quarry.
The remains
of a rubbish wagon and home-made winch, relics of the last
working
days of Cwt y Bugail.

This short
tunnel connects two of the working areas.
This adit
led fom the north twll to the dressing shed.
It still
has 2 foot gauge track for part of its length.
