Class 57 0-10-0 No. 2157 on a southbound freight. A Roco model, between 1910 and 1924 no less than 2,615 Class G 10s were delivered to the Prussian state railways and the Deutsche Reichsbahn, the last one was withdrawn as late as 1972.

Werner, a keen fisherman, is in his favourite spot as 95 0028-1 brings a heavy freight through Rotstein. The cold waters of the River Vils provide excellent fishing. The class 95 was another Prussian design introduced in 1922.

Veteran 0-4-4-0 Mallet 98-009 is now a preserved machine. Having undergone its annual overhaul it is seen on a test train at the south end of Rotstein.

3 car DMU VT 06 108 is now nearly 30 years old but is still popular with staff and passengers alike. Werner is hoping for just one more bite!

The huge length of 2-10-2 45 026 is evident in this photograph. Only 28 of this class were built as WWII cut short plans to build many more. More information on these powerful locos here.
