This a is a model of a Liliput German train ferry wagon built to British loading gauge.  It is a little reminder of the my childhood in Mold, Flintshire.  Mold had a large factory, Jones Balers, which sent large numbers of hay balers out by rail from the local goods yard.  A lot of these were exported to the continent using Belgian, French and German flat wagons.  The two model balers were kindly built for me by Mike Williams, better known for his O gauge models.  It was probably the appearance of these wagons, with their exotic foreign wording, which first interested me in overseas railways.
