The small goods yard was kept busy with coal, timber traffic and general merchandise. A couple of mineworkers are taking a welcome break from the coal dust.

The head office of Hahns Kohle is seen in the background. Besides Rotstein the company also operated a number of other coal mines in the district. The Paulaner beer wagon's arrival was a welcome sight - it was to be the 'Guest Beer' at the annual Rotstein Beer Festival, which is held every October.

2-10-2 No. 45-026 rumbles into Rotstein on a south bound freight.

38-2609 on a freight at the north end.

2-6-2 23105 on a semi fast passenger train. This loco, built in 1959, was the very last DB steam locomotive delivered. It is now preserved.

The goods yard and coal loading facility. The coal was brought from Rotstein drift mine by a conveyor belt.

Diesel hydraulic Bo Bo 290 262-5 on a local freight exits the north tunnel and enters Rotstein.
