Manod Slate Quarry - now known as
Welsh Slate 'Cwt y Bugail'

Manod quarry is set in a spectacular location some 1500 feet above sea level.  Looking south across the Migneint, the long mountain in the centre of the photo is Arenig Fawr.  Weather conditions at the quarry in the wintertime can be very harsh.
